One range for the whole fault-location chain

HV Discover supplies the instruments that find faults in underground medium-voltage cables, from the first pulse to the dig spot, and the van that carries them.

The TDR-901 kit laid out: the reflectometer in its open orange case with test leads, a mains adapter and a coupler.

What we supply

Six instruments in four steps: a reflectometer and arc reflection filter to pre-locate, two surge generators to condition the fault, an acoustic pinpointer and a route tracer. Each works alone, and each hands over to the next.

A cable test van carries the same four steps, fitted and wired, so a crew arrives with the whole sequence on board.

  1. Step 1: Pre-locate

  2. Step 2: Condition

  3. Step 3: Pinpoint

  4. Step 4: Trace route

How we work

What happens to each instrument, from the specification to service in the field.

Range

Each instrument is chosen around the fault-location sequence: the PG-32 connects to the TDR-901 for arc reflection, and its surges are what the AP-01 listens for.

Test

The TDR-901, PG-32 and AP-01 datasheets list a calibration approval and certificate with each instrument.

Train

Operator training on each instrument and on the whole sequence. Ask for it with your quote.
